Hello, I’m Aline de Castro.

I’m a physiotherapist from Brazil with over 15 years of experience and more than a decade of helping people improve from chronic pain through Pilates.

As a spinal surgery survivor, I understand how difficult it can be to trust your body again after a big surgery. That experience shaped the way I care for people, with patience, empathy, and the belief that movement can help you rebuild confidence, not just strength.

Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing persistent pain, or simply looking to move better, my goal is to help you feel stronger, more confident, and at home in your body.

Clinical Director & Physiotherapist

With more than 20+ years of experience, Sally is a Registered Physiotherapist, Clinical Director and former British Army Physiotherapy Officer with expertise in sports injuries, tendon rehabilitation and orthopaedic rehabilitation. A former soldier and athlete who has completed a number of demanding endurance challenges, Sally understands first-hand the physical and mental demands of training, injury and recovery. She combines this experience with evidence-based physiotherapy and a compassionate, personalised approach to help people of all ages—from athletes to active older adults—return to the activities they love.

Her clinical background includes military healthcare, trauma and orthopaedics, sports rehabilitation, and complex musculoskeletal care. During her military career, Sally served as the Officer in Command of various regimental and training establishments where she led multidisciplinary rehabilitation services for injured personnel. She has also worked extensively within public healthcare settings, helping people recover from injury, surgery, and long-standing musculoskeletal conditions.

Sally believes that successful rehabilitation begins with understanding what matters most to each individual. Her approach combines careful assessment, evidence-informed treatment, and collaborative goal setting to help people overcome barriers to recovery and regain confidence in movement. Whether helping someone return to sport, recover after surgery, manage persistent pain, or maintain independence as they age, she focuses on creating practical treatment plans that fit real life.

As Clinical Director of Larch House Physio & Movement, Sally provides clinical leadership, mentorship, and ongoing support to the rehabilitation team while continuing to work directly with clients. She is passionate about helping people move better, feel stronger, and participate fully in the activities that are meaningful to them.

Outside of work, Sally enjoys staying active through strength training, running, and outdoor adventures. Having experienced her own share of injuries over the years, she understands firsthand the challenges of recovery and the importance of building long-term resilience.
